Report: Celtics 2nd round draft pick Marcus Thornton to play in Australia
According to Sportando, Marcus Thornton Part II will be taking his talent to the other side of the globe:
Back on draft night, Danny Ainge stated that the Celtics plan from the beginning was likely to send Thornton overseas.
Australia is an unusual choice from a professional basketball standpoint, but you can't fault the guy for wanting to go there. And if William & Mary's all-time leading scorer never makes it back to the NBA, he'll always have this:
