Paul Pierce to reunite with Doc Rivers in LA
The hopes of those Celtics fans that wanted to see The Truth return to Boston have been crushed by Adrian Wojnarowski's latest news: Paul Pierce has agreed to a 3 year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers:

Woj also mentioned that Pierce's new deal includes a team option for the 3rd year.
Last week, rumors circulated that Boston GM Danny Ainge was attempting to lure Kevin Love to the Celtics by grouping him with Pierce and Robin Lopez. After Love announced his decision to return to Cleveland today, that plan (or in reality, a pipe dream) seemingly went out the window, and Pierce decided to reunite with former coach Doc Rivers in Los Angeles -- a move predicted by most of the NBA media.
Pierce, who grew up in the Los Angeles area and attended Inglewood High School, will likely play out the rest of his career in his hometown. But Celtics fans can always hope to at least bring him back on a 10 day contract so he can retire in green and white.
