Brad Stevens, Evan Turner in South Africa for NBA exhibition
The NBA will hold it's first-ever exhibition game in Africa this Saturday, August 1. It will be televised on ESPN at 9 am, live from Ellis Park Arena in Johanneberg, South Africa. The contest, made up entirely on NBA players, will feature "Team Africa" vs. "Team World" (click the link for complete rosters, which include Chris Paul, the Gasol brothers, Loul Deng and Giannis Antetokounempo).
Brad Stevens is a coach for the "World" squad, which is also represented by Evan Turner and our old friend Jeff Green (pictured above saying hello to Stevens upon arrival). Marcus Smart was schedule to play as well, but had to pull out because of his dislocated fingers.

Earlier today, league commissioner Adam Silver said that this is a first step toward playing a preseason game, then likely a regular season game in Africa.
