Larry Bird talks trash about Dominique Wilkins statue



On Thursday, the Atlanta Hawks unveiled a statue celebrating the greatest player in their franchise's history, Dominique Wilkins.

Both Wilkins and Larry Bird had some epic battles with each other in their playing days, including the memorable Game 7 in the 1988 playoffs, where Bird poured in 34 points and Wilkins went for 47:



When asked for his thoughts on the statue, Bird had this to say:



Is there a better trash-talker than Bird? The guy is 58 years old, and still talks smack like it's the 80's and he's rocking the mustache/mullet combination with just outrageous cockiness:


Damn, those golden locks are flowing. The Legend had swag way before anyone knew what the hell it was.
