Butler win sparks Brad Stevens' first tweet in 18 months
Yesterday the Butler Bulldogs, a No. 6 seed in the NCAA tournament, knocked off 11th seeded Texas 56-48. It was the Bulldogs' first tournament win since Brad Stevens left Butler to coach the Celtics in the summer of 2013.
Stevens is clearly still a fan of his old team, as their victory prompted him to send out a tweet for the first time in 18 months:
Way to go Dawgs!!! March on!

1st tweet in nearly 2 years. Brad told us at trade deadline he deleted Twitter from his phone (probably for sanity); still had it on iPad.

And just in case you were wondering, here's Steven's last tweet before yesterday:
Our family enjoyed our time at the Greater Boston Food Bank today. Great people making an impact every single day. http://t.co/b21UMvJ9dO

Stevens is responsible for one of the most amazing/impressive/miraculous achievements in NCAA tournament history, coaching Butler (who then played in the Horizon League) to consecutive championship games as a No. 5 seed in 2010 and a No. 8 seed in 2011.
