Kendrick Perkins thinks he's the real MVP


With Kevin Durant out for at least half a season, and Lebron James starting off slow in Cleveland, for the first time in a long while, the field for the leagues Most Valuable Player award is pretty wide open. One potential candidate, at least in his own mind, is Kendrick Perkins; who in the midst of a 9 point, 5 rebound game against the Kings this past Sunday thought he might've heard 'M-V-P!' chants.

Perk on getting a standing ovation in the first quarter: “It felt good. I thought I heard a couple MVP chants.” I told him I didn’t hear any of those. “Yeah, neither did I. Just in my head.”
