Marcus Smart gets an invite to camp for USA Basketball

While no Celtic vets were put on the roster for USA Basketball, Celtics rookie Marcus Smart did receive a USA Basketball Select Team invite.

Players included on the Select Team are chosen to scrimmage against the national team. While that might not sound all that glamorous, it is a nod to the talent of those asked to attend.

In 1992, the Dream Team lost a scrimmage to a Select Team comprised of college All-Stars 62-54. So watch your ass, Derrick Rose! Marcus Smart is out for blood.
