Celtics recall Rajon Rondo

BOSTON – The Boston Celtics announced today that they have recalled guard Rajon Rondo from the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League.
Rondo, a 6’1” guard, has not played in a game for the Celtics this season and is currently recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee. He appeared in 38 games for the Celtics last season and averaged 13.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 11.1 assists and 1.8 steals in 37.4 minutes per game.
After being sent to Maine for a stint with the Red Claws earlier today, the Celtics have recalled Rajon Rondo to the Boston Celtics. Rondo apparently practiced with the Red Claws in Waltham for an hour, but in order to do it he had to be assigned then recalled.
In the shortest minor-league stint in history, the Celtics just recalled Rajon Rondo. He spent 6,780 seconds in the D-League.
