Darko Milicic is a professional fisherman?

It's been a little over ten months since Darko Milicic left the Celtics to return to his native Serbia.  Back in June of this year he said that he would not seek an NBA contract this season.  Now that the former #2 overall pick from the 2003 draft appears to have given up on basketball for good, he's found a new focus: competitive carp fishing.  Darko is entered in the 2013 World Carp Classic, being held on Lake Bolsena, in Italy.

A year ago he told CSNNE's Jessica Camerato that fishing was a huge part of his life:

"I fish carp professionally back home, said Milicic. I go to the World Cups, European Championships. I have a team so thats what I enjoy the most. Ive got an RV here from the US. We travel, we fish for four to seven days straight."

Good luck to Darko in all his future endeavors on the water, and hopefully he finds more enjoyment there than he did on the basketball court.
