HoopsHype Ranks the Top 50 Players in Celtics History

Who was your favorite Boston Celtic ever? HoopsHype is going through and ranking the top 50 best players for each team in the association – so far they’ve done the Lakers, Heat, Knicks and now the Celtics. I recommend you check out the gallery, they have cool pictures for each guy. The list contains the who’s who of the great Celtics franchise, but as with all lists this one can be subjective to personal opinion.Whoever your favorite player was, you will definitely find him on this list somewhere. Except for my man Ricky Davis… what an atrocity. He was definitely better than Tony Allen, Tony ‘The Batman’ Battie and that flaker Rick Fox (thanks TB). Fine I'll throw him at:
51. Ricky Davis, 2003-2006: 16.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg.

Now let's get serious... I think up until the 20’s everyone is fair game, you can make an argument for this guy to be higher over that guy etc. but mid-twenties down I think is perfect. Most of these players were before my time so it’s hard to rank them higher then ones I’ve seen. I do think though that Dana Barros should be higher for sure and a big omission has got to be James Posey, he was CRUCIAL to that '08 title team. Antoine is also a little high for my liking, and I would love to put KG even higher but its hard to pick him over other guys. Besides that I wouldn't really change much, comment and we can discuss which guys you think should be higher.
