Report: Celtics-Clippers Doc Rivers deal may not be dead after all?
From Los Angeles NBA writer Mark Heisler:
If #Celtics #Clippers were 1 pick and $3M (DJ's trade kicker) apart, what are chances this starts again? Depends what Doc tells Danny today

Barring commitments either makes before then, source tells http://t.co/4ZwNGyR6WK #Clippers-#Celtics will restart talks before June 27 draft

#Celtics-Clippers to start back up before draft? Obviously depends on whether LAC hires a coach or Doc says he'll return. If not,...

.@CelticsSpa My guy says teams will talk around the draft--assuming Clips haven't hired a coach and Doc hasn't said he's returning.

Just when we thought this drama was finally over... And it may well still be. Heisler is admittedly making some assumptions; the Clippers might hire Brain Shaw or Byron Scott tomorrow. Doc and Danny Ainge could work out an agreement today, who knows. But the logic here is sound, if the teams weren't that far apart, and they are both still in the same boat a week from now, why not try again? I'd like to think the more time Danny puts into resolving this Doc situation the better it will be for Boston.
