The Return: Rondo's Triple Double Against New York

As Rajon Rondo's return draws ever closer, we here at Celticslife are looking back at #9's greatest performances. Last week we revisited Rondo's masterful Game 4 against the Cavs in 2010, and today we're marveling at his 2012 triple double against the New York Knicks.

In February of last year, the world was struck by an explosive phenomenon known as Linsanity. Jeremy Lin was an undrafted guard from Harvard, but he came out of nowhere to dominate the league for an entire month, averaging over 20 points and 8 assists for the Knickerbockers.

However, the Linsanity came to an end on March 4th when the Knicks shipped down to Boston. Rajon Rondo stole the spotlight with a masterful performance, going off for 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 18 assists. Rondo did it all, driving to the rack, hitting jumpers, crashing the boards, facilitating, and playing great defense. He would go on to display similar excellence in the playoffs that summer.
