Game 5 Heroes

Like the Avengers coming together, last night's Game 5 win featured Celtics heroes from past games putting together an impressive team effort.  Iron Man Jeff Green led the charge with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists - including hitting two key threes in the final minutes which fended off the Knicks' rally attempts.  Jason The JET Terry had 17 points, 4 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block off-the-bench - making several important buckets that helped stretch the C's lead in the second half.  Bad Ass Brandon Bass also had 17 points to go along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists while shackling Carmelo Anthony to a series-low 22 points on 8-of-24 shooting.  And finally the veteran pair of KG Kevin Garnett and Paul The Truth Pierce anchored the team's D and O - Garnett with 16 points, a series-best 18 boards, 5 assists and 2 blocks and Truth with 16 points, including four threes, 4 boards and 3 assists.

With their backs against the wall these heroes emerged and brought the series back to Boston for a Game 6 on Friday.  And like the Avengers movie, we're definitely looking forward to the Celtics heroes' sequel!
