Rajon Rondo is crushing the rest of the league at triple doubles

Old triple double king vs new triple double king.
Last night Rajon Rondo recorded his 4th triple double of the season.  He's now got twice as many as anyone else; LeBron James and Jose Calderon (Seriously? Jose Calderon?) have two a piece.  In last year's regular season Rondo had 6 triple doubles, while nobody else recorded more than one.

Over the past two seasons combined Rondo has a 10-2 advantage over LeBron and Calderon, as well as Joakim Noah and David Lee (who both have one in each season).  And when you factor in last year's playoffs (another 4 for Rondo), then it really gets out of hand.  Since the beginning of last season Rondo has a total of 14 triple doubles, while the next best in the league is LeBron with just 3.

The last player to so thoroughly dominate the NBA in this category was Jason Kidd.  In 2006-07 (including playoffs) he held the same 14-3 advantage in triple doubles over Kevin Garnett and Andre Iguodala.
