If you were counting at home you'd recall that Rondo had registered 20 points but was sitting on only seven total assists with a little over three minutes left in what had become a tight encounter against the Bulls. And if you found yourself saying at that point, "Rondo's streak of 30 straight games with 10 or more assists is in jeopardy! But I'd rather let the streak end than lose the game!" then you're not alone.
Luckily, Rondo came through with a couple of alley-oops to KG and an easy feed to Brandon Bass to keep his assist streak alive, while also propelling the C's past the Bulls, 101-95, and putting them above .500 for the first time this season. He also finished just a rebound shy of a triple-double while also collecting five steals. All in a day's work for the King of Dimes.
Rondo's assist streak is now at 31 and he's bearing down on #2 John Stockton (with 37 straight double-digit-assists games) and Magic Johnson (46).
