Celtics Release Christmas Day Uniforms

The Boston Celtics hold the prestige of being in the opening game on Christmas Day 2012.

At 12:00 on December 25, the Celtics will take the floor of the Barclays Center to face the Brooklyn Nets.

ESPN will have the first of five nationally televised NBA contests on the day.

ABC will feature the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers at 3:00 and a 2011-12 NBA Finals re-match at 5:30 between the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder.

ESPN then finishes off the day with the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls at 8:00 and the finale of the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets at 10:30.

ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted a photo of the new jerseys that Boston will be wearing for the holiday game.
He also sent a tweet of the uniforms Brooklyn will be wearing.
The selected jerseys detail the main attraction of the Nets-Celtics matchup, Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo.

If you are feeling generous, I'm sure you can procure these new jerseys to put under your tree.

The Celtics lost a nail-biter to the Knicks on Christmas Day 2011, 106-104. This time around they get another New York team. Still more than a month away, this is an enticing game.

It has to be difficult on the players, but as a fan, watching hoops on Christmas Day is a fantastic tradition.
