Boston uses defensive effort to take game three 101-91
Losing this game was not an option. If the Celtics lost this game the season would be on life support. Fortunately, the Celtics big three will them to victory. Boston took game three with an impressive 101-91 victory, a game that was much more lopsided than the final score indicated.
The Celtics set the tone early with fantastic defense on the Miami Heat. It wasn't until the fourth quarter until Miami started making some shots. Lebron was fantastic in the first quarter but thankfully for Celtic fans he didn't continue his dominance for long.
The two indicators for this game was rebounding and free throw percentage. Boston shot a much better free throw percentage than the Miami Heat in this game which contributed to their loss in game three. The Celtics were also able to out rebound the Miami Heat and doubling their offensive rebounds.
There was no room for error for this Boston Celtics team that battled with their backs against the wall in game three finally breaking down the wall that Doc Rivers spoke of. Not to get too excited because game four will be just as much. The Celtics will need more defense from the Celtics. Brandon Bass needs to show up because he has been awful outside of a singular game against Philadelphia in the second round.
For now, this is a series. The Boston Celtics believe and know they are capable of winning this series. After a touch game two, they answered with a convincing victory in game three. Now it will be interesting to see what they can do for game four.
