NBA Draft order announced, Celtics to pick 21st & 22nd
Sorry son we owned the 2nd half of the season. You'll have to languish as a star in someplace like Milwaukee now. We'll still see each other at All-Star Weekends. |
Once upon a time it looked like the Celtics were going to snag at least two high draft picks this June, but with the Celtics great 2nd half (24-10 to finish the season), as well as the Clippers solid season the Celtics two picks will now be in the 20's. Additionally the Celtics held on to the Big 3 past the trade deadline, so they obviously didn't add any additional picks.
I've stated in the past that Austin Rivers will be better than any other player available in the teens (and better than some projected higher lottery busts like Tyler Zeller), but unless he suffers a serious injury he won't be there now when the Celtics pick. I still think the Celtics should trade up for Rivers, but with the emergence of Avery Bradley I'm not sure if they'll go in that direction.
The Celtics also own the 51st pick in the draft (Their own 2nd rounder). Who do you like for the Celtics at #21 and #22 (realistically speaking)?
