Today's Celtics News: Pietrus Will Play vs Mavs, Pierce Surprised Delonte is Gone, Doc on Dooling

A few Celtics tidbits from around the web today:

CSNNE - Pietrus to play, Daniels doubtful vs. Mavericks
As reported yesterday, Marquis has the flu and will be out for tomorrow's game against the Mavs. Piertus will be making his Celtics debut.

Metrowest Daily News - Celtics Tuesday practice report: Paul Pierce surprised Delonte West not back
Paul Pierce gives his thoughts on Delonte and expresses shock that West didn't return to the Celtics this season. "I thought he'd definitely be back," Pierce said following today's 90-minute practice. "It's hard to kind of develop chemistry when you bring in a lot of new faces each and every year. That's why I wanted him to come back."

ESPN Boston - Dooling shooting for more success
Doc had initially expected to use Dooling more as a back-up for Ray Allen, and is not happy that he has had to play Keyon as back-up point guard for the majority of his minutes. "I just want [Dooling] to play," said Rivers. "Keyon, I'm happy with. He’s not playing great, honestly. [But] what I don’t like for Keyon is, I think I have him at point guard way too much. That’s where we are waiting for Avery or E'Twaun -- or someone else -- to give him a lift with the ball-handling duties. I never intended for [Dooling] to be a full-time point guard and right now he is."
