Celtics come up big in the clutch again, beat Knicks

The Celtics know how to win and the Knicks know how to lose. Despite an amazing performance by Carmelo Anthony, the Celtics hung on to win 96-93. Anthony scored 42 points and had an amazing 17 rebounds yet it wasn't enough.  It was Garnett with the big shot late this time, followed up with a defensive stop on the other end that won it. Rajon Rondo had a playoff career high 30 points, almost all in the paint to lead the Celtics.  Amare Stoudemire did not play in the second half because of back spasms.

Jeff green continues to struggle in a reduced role. I honestly think he might do better starting and moving KG to the 5.  I think it might be worth a shot. Big Baby hasn't done much this series either. We will need bigger contributions from the bench to advance in these playoffs.

The Celtics could have easily been down 2-0 right now but it is their championship experience that has led them to this 2-0 series lead. Basketball is all about who makes the plays at the end and the Celtics simply know how to get it done.  Carmelo Anthony is an unstoppable force on offense but with Stoudemire and Billups out the Knicks had nowhere else to go.  However, this may have been the reason Carmelo was able to get in such a rhythm. At the end of the day a win is a win so let's not second guess this and take it for what is; a 2-0 series lead.

The Knicks not fouling Delonte right away at the end of the game is really inexusable.  That is stuff you learn in 3rd grade. If I was a Knicks fan I'd want to smack my team across the head right now. Next game Friday night at 7pm. The bench needs to step up!
