Celtics bench beats Knicks bench: BOS 112 NYK 102

Both teams rested most of their starters but the Celtics, behind Avery Bradley's 20 points, were able to pull away in the fourth quarter to coast to a 112-102 victory over the New York Knicks at the TD Garden in Boston tonight.

The Celtics improve to 4-0 against the Knicks this season and will host them for game one of the first round of the 2010-11 playoffs.

Bradley was 10 of 16 from the field, making Carlos Arroyo look even more useless than he did before. If that was even possible. Arroyo played 29 and a half minutes. It was excruciating to watch.

Sasha Pavlovic played almost 35 minutes and had 19 points, drilling four of his five shots from behind the arch. Glen Davis had 17 points, Von Wafer and Jeff Green had 14. Nenad Krstic had 13.

Amare Stoudamire was the only high profile player to play in this game, he played 20 minutes and had 14 points.

The Celtics built a nine-point lead in the third quarter but a 10-2 Knick run to end the frame made it just a two point game. However, the Boston backups responded with an 11-0 run to begin the fourth and eventually opened up their largest lead of the game, 20.

Avery Bradley highlighted the Celtics' first half. He led all scorers with 12 points at halftime as Boston shot 59.5-percent in the half, knocking down five of eight from three-point range. It was a very high scoring half, as the Knicks shot well themselves (47.8-percent. The Celtics lead by as much as nine and headed to halftime leading 61-57.
