Doc out after throat Surgery

Celtics coach Doc Rivers missed practice on Monday due to minor throat surgery he underwent Sunday at Mass. General Hospital. Assistant coach Lawrence Frank ran practice.

The surgery, which had been planned, was expected to relieve pressure on Rivers' vocal chords. Rivers is home resting his voice.
Big fan of Doc, so bummed he most likely won't be running the show tomorrow at the open practice. That said, wishing him the best. He should take as much time off as possible so things heal 100%.
