That's More Like It, Celts win handily

After a sloppy final 3 games last week, the Celtics bounced back tonight with a solid win in beating the Jazz 105-86, comparable to how they looked early in the season.  They're now 8-1.

I had the Jazz broadcast for NBA League Pass tonight.  Even despite the Celtics winning the game, they were far less annoying than the Phoenix crew from the game last week.  My observations:
  • Great team ball with precision passing and a balanced scoring effort.  The starting 5  + Marquis and Sheed all went for 10 or more.  30 assists on 41 field goals which is also nice.
  • Nice number of minutes played- no one played more than 32 minutes.
  • The Celtics defense wasn't quite as solid as it's been regarding opponent FG%- the Jazz actually shot about 47%.  But they turned the ball over 21 times, a lot of times on careless offensive possessions.
    • Boozer got called for 3 traveling calls, but only the last one seemed legit to me.
  •  The Jazz Broadcasters called Mehmet Okur "The Money Man"- not really sure where that nickname came from.
  • One of the questions that the Jazz fans asked the announcers was what was up with Millsap's slow start this year.  I figured they'd sidestep it and not mention how he signed a big contract over the summer, but kudos to them.  After Ron Boone their color guy mentioned "he needs more consistent minutes" the announcer brought up the big contract and complacency.
  • Jerry Sloan looks like hell.
  • And Fesenko makes Oleksi Pecherov look like Paul Walker.
  • KG and Ray Allen looked terrific tonight.  They looked very sluggish Saturday vs NJ.  Both looked great tonight and KG was dare I say, looking pre-injury KG, especially offensively.
  • Eddie House tossed the headband to the side at one point, not really sure why but he looked like Magic Johnson first did when he shaved his mustache.
  • Bill Walker saw some time tonight.  Didn't do much but nice to see him back.  Once he's healed look for Giddens to be made inactive and Scalabrine to return to add another bigger player to the bench.
  • All in all an impressive showing by the C's.  I guess Doc was right in that they needed some rest.  I can return to being sane now after some uneasiness last week.
