Who is Keith Agovida?

As an American we're constantly inundated with the newest and hottest prep stars.  From Kenny Anderson, Felipe Lopez, Stephon Marbury (all New York guys who never met expectations).  But with the shift in basketball truly becoming a "world game" there will still be players who fly under the radar.  Players who put up amazing stats that you don't quite know about.  Someone like Keith Agovida.

So who is Keith Agovida?  Last season the lefty set a Philippine basketball record scoring 82 points in 37 minutes of an NCAA game at Jose Rizal University.  Amazing stuff!

What's even more interesting is how basketball is the most popular game in the Philippines. They've been playing organized ball since 1913.

With all the great talent influx from overseas, don't be surprised when a player from the Philippines is playing in the NBA, sooner than later.
