Gordon Hayward to undergo surgery today, which we are told is a good thing

Supposedly having surgery will get Gordon Hayward back on the court sooner than if he rehabbed it without going under the knife according to head coach Brad Stevens.

“That’s what I’ve been told,” Stevens said. “I’m not a doctor. But I’ve been told, for whatever reason, that would stabilize it and improve the timeline.

Hayward was having a fantastic bounce back season and finally looked like his former all-star self until he ran into an aggressive pick from LaMarcus Aldridge which lead to the hand fracture. We wish him a very speedy and full recovery.
