Quantcast

Thomas Robinson has been officially claimed by the Maine Red Claws of the NBA's G-League. He was quickly inserted into the lineup against the Lakeland Magic and had a solid outing in the 112-103 loss.

Robinson played 27 minutes, notching 17 points on 7-of-11 from the field and 3-of-8 on free throws. As expected, he had no 3-point attempts but hauled down 10 rebounds and added two assists, one steal and three blocks. During one sequence (1:30 mark of the video below), Thomas blocked a shot on the perimeter and ran the floor for a put-back dunk.

It was a fine showing for a guy that was put into action so soon after being acquired. There is still no indication that Robinson would take the final roster spot on the Celtics and possibly participate in the post-season. But his performance versus Lakeland certainly won't squelch that possibility.
