Gordon Hayward's goal -" To help us raise the next banner. That's what I came here to do!"

Gordon Hayward has not won a Title ring yet, but he played in 11 post-season games for Utah in 2017, the season before he came to Boston. Here are his averages for those 11 games:

37.4 minutes - 24.1 points - 6.1 rebounds - 3.4 assists - 44.1FG% - 41.2% on 3's - 93.4FT%

Those are impressive post-season stats, and that is the talent level we are looking at with Gordon. And he just may have the most versatility of any player on the team.

Here is what we never want to see again.

GP-1, GS-1, 5.0 MPG, 2.0 PPG, 1.0 RPG, 50.0FG%

Those are his complete stats for the 2017-18 season. One game played. One game started. Only five minutes of floor time. Hit 1-of-2 field goals. Grabbed one rebound. The only stats missing here are: Injuries: one badly-broken ankle. Physical pain level - high. Emotional pain level - through the roof. Rehab difficulty - tremendous.

But Hayward is back in action - going 5-on-5 and looking really good. He came here to help win the Championship - to wear a Title ring - and to help raise banner #18 to the rafters. He sounds determined.
