Celtics sign guard Walt Lemon, Jr. to two-way contract
The Celtics continue to build their roster for the upcoming season, and they have just signed Walt Lemon, Jr. to a two-way contract which will allow him to split time between the Celtics and the Maine Red Claws.
The anticipated release of Kadeem Allen from his two-way contract apparently opened the door to signing Lemon. Walt is a 26-year-old (this month), 6'3", 180-lb guard who graduated from Bradley.
He went undrafted in 2014 and has played for the Pelicans and various Summer League and European teams since that time.

I know exactly two minutes of YouTube highlights’ worth about Walt Lemon Jr., but he seems to me like a guy who can maybe learn something from Kyrie Irving?

We know very little about Lemon, but one fact is obvious. Announcers and sports writers will have a field day with his last name, particularly if he doesn't produce. Or even if he proves to have real value - "The Celts need Lemon-Aid to get back in this game!" See what I mean.
