Report: German forward Daniel Theis signs a 2-year deal with Celtics

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Boston Celtics have signed German big man Daniel Theis to a two-year deal. The mobile stretch combo big, one of Europe's more interesting frontcourt players, may signal the Celtics are seeking to shore up their frontcourt depth in anticipation of returning with much of the same roster as last season. If so, and especially if Boston plans to continue pursuit of a max-contract free agent, the deal will likely make use of one of the available extensions in order to preserve cap space. For more information about Theis, check the article we published when the signing first became known as a possibility.
