Demetrius Jackson signs two-way deal with Houston Rockets

Demetrius Jackson has found a home - for now, at least.

The Houston Rockets have reportedly signed the Boston Celtics draftee to one of their two new "two-way" deal roster slots, which allow teams two new roster slots for players who will spend at least 120 days with the Rockets' NBA G-League affiliate, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, and no more than 45 days total in any capacity playing or training with the parent club.

As with Boston's two-way guys (Kadeem Allen and presumably Jabari Bird), Jackson will earn $75,000 in base salary plus NBA-level compensation for the time he spends with the Rockets, up to $280,000 total. I'm sad Demetrius had to go to make room for Gordon Hayward, but happy to hear this news that his NBA career continues onward.
