Markelle Fultz talks about his potential fit with the Celtics

Here's a little something to take your mind off last night's terrible start to the Eastern Conference Finals:  Markelle Fultz spoke with the media prior to the lottery on Tuesday and he thinks joining the Boston Celtics would be the perfect opportunity for him:

Obviously most guys want to be the #1 pick for a myriad of reasons, but he specifically mentioned his relationship with Isaiah Thomas and noted that playing limited minutes to start his NBA career on a team that's far better than any other team at the top of the draft wouldn't be an issue at all.

Fultz also had a more lengthy conversation with Mike Felger of CSNNE just before the ping-pong balls were drawn:

Fultz noted that he thinks that Thomas is at his best playing off the ball and the dynamic of having two players that can handle the ball the way they can coupled with the chemistry the two already share would be "amazing". Both Thomas and Fultz hail from Washington and already have a good relationship off the court as well as some experience playing together last offseason.

The Celtics have since won the lottery, putting them in position to select Fultz 1st overall should they choose (they better), Markelle has been sharing lots of C's related tweets on Twitter - including this clip from a show that would be more appropriately titled "Three Idiots Talk Around a Table":

Lavar finally got something right. Markelle Fultz is the best player in this draft.
