Celtics announce full 2016 preseason schedule

Yesterday, the Celtics issued a press release announcing their 2016 preseason schedule (pictured above, via Celtics.com).  As usual, Boston will primarily play Atlantic Division foes.  But for the second year in a row the club will not face the Toronto Raptors in the preseason (last fall the C's began their schedule in Europe), instead playing a home-and-home with the Charlotte Hornets.

Also per the norm, only two of the Celtics' exhibitions will actually be in Boston.  In recent history they've played home contests around New England in Portland, ME (the locale of their D-League affiliate Red Claws), Manchester, NH, Providence, RI and Hartford, CT.  While none of those locations are on the docket for 2016, the Celts will visit Mohegan Sun and UMass Amherst.  Oddly enough, the matchup at UMass is technically a home game for the 76ers.
