COJ: Pop's comments on Brad Stevens will make you feel things you've never felt before

"I really respect what he does. I'll still watch his Butler tape, trying to learn some stuff he did there, to be honest with you," Popovich said of Stevens after Sunday's game. "I really respect the hell out of him. He's a really fine young coach, great demeanor. His team executes really well, and they're just going to keep getting better. So I enjoy him."

While this certainly the first time Coach Pop has gone out of his way to compliment the Celtics head coach, it's not exactly something that gets old. It's Gregg freaking Popovich. The only thing the man does wrong is spell his name with three G's. Everything else: Basketball, wine, interviews. Perfection.

And not only is he out here, going out of his way to continuously sing the praise of our head coach to anyone who will listen to him, he's also staying up late, putting bagel bites in the toaster oven, so he can find time to watch old Brad tapes on VHS.

It's been said time and time before, but this does matter. The league takes notice. And in the absence of a true superstar, this is our selling point in free agency. It's one thing to pitch that with tape, it's another to point out the opinions of one of the greatest head coaches of all time.
