Here's what we know about the Celtics summer league roster so far, which will begin play in Utah on July 6:
Celtics snag one of most in demand un-drafted FA's for summer league team - Texas swing forward Jonathan Holmes.— Mark Murphy (@Murf56) June 27, 2015
DraftExpress slotted Holmes at No. 33 in their final mock draft, and has him at No. 23 on their list of top 100 prospects.
The Boston Celtics have invited Chris Babb and Omari Johnson to play for their summer league team, a league source tells D-League Digest.— Adam Johnson (@AdamJNBA) June 5, 2015
Babb is the more well-known name of the two, but both he and Johnson spent the bulk of 2014-15 with the Maine Red Claws.
I'm hearing that Colton Iverson will be playing for the Boston Celtics' summer league team.— Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) June 26, 2015
The Celtics second-round pick from 2013 was in Spain last year.
Royce O'Neale will play for the Celtics' summer league team. He shined at @E8hoops pro day. Here's his workout video: http://t.co/0SCQeQbZPS— Alex Kennedy (@AlexKennedyNBA) June 26, 2015
A 6'6" small forward out of Baylor, O'Neale is No. 100 on DraftExpress' prospect list.
All four of the C's draft picks, Terry Rozier, R.J. Hunter, Jordan Mickey and Marcus Thornton are expected to suite up as well. Brad Stevens also suggested that Marcus Smart will join the squad in Utah and Las Vegas:
Stevens on Rozier: "It will be fun to watch him and Marcus playing together (in summer league) for sure."— Jay King (@ByJayKing) June 26, 2015
In addition, King writes James Young is a likely participant, and says Danny Ainge has mentioned Phil Pressey is a possibility.
