The Celtics finish off the regular season with a 105-100 win over the Bucks

If you would have told me a year ago that Boston would finish this season a game away from .500, I would have wondered what substances you had recently ingested. But that's exactly what the Celtics did, defeating the Milwaukee Bucks 105-100 to finish the regular season at 40-42. For those keeping score, that's a 15-win improvement over last year.

Boston was down a few players in this one, as Avery Bradley got hurt in the last game and needed to recover and Isaiah Thomas and Jae Crowder didn't suit up so that they could rest. Even so, the Celtics are a make no excuses club and fought hard as they always do.

Jonas Jerebko finished with 16 points and six rebounds, Kelly Olynyk had 16 points and five rebounds and Luigi Datome took Bradley's spot in the starting lineup, finishing with 22 points.

For the Bucks, Ersan Ilyasova had 21 points and five rebounds and Khris Middleton had 18 points.

The Celtics kick off their improbable playoff run this weekend against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Whatever happens, it's going to be fun.
