Celtics stomp the Knicks 115 to 94

The Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 115 to 94 tonight at the TD Garden. The Celtics were slow out the gate and played down to the cellar-dwelling Knicks level, putting us in a hole down at half-time. We turned it on in the 3rd quarter with a huge surge, just crushing the Knicks soul. New York is a god-awful team by the way, so so so bad. The C’s went on a 43-13 run during the final two frames, looking like world beaters. A barrage of 3’s plus solid D made this a 20-point blow out by the early fourth.

Evan Turner had his first ever triple-double, notching 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Jae Crowder was a monster off the bench; he chipped in 18 points but dominated all facets of the game. Jonas Jerebko was also money, dropping an unexpected 20 points. The leading scorer for the Knicks was Andrea Bargnani, who finished with 17, but to say they had a 'star' of the game would be disingenuous to how they awful they played collectively.

The Celtics next game is at home versus the Charlotte Hornets, tip-off is at 7:30.
