Team USA 2014 selected, and to no surprise there aren't any Celtics

The FIBA World Cup of Basketball (FIBA jumped on FIFA's soccer bandwagon and started calling its world championships that in 2010) will be held in Spain from August 30-September 14.  Today the U.S. announced it's roster for training camp in Las Vegas beginning July 28:

PG: Derrick Rose, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving
SG: James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, Klay Thompson, Bradley Beal
SF: Kevin Durant, Paul George, Chandler Parsons, Gordon Hayward, Kyle Korver
PF: Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, DeMarus Cousins, Kenneth Farried
C: Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond

The final roster will be trimmed from 19 down to 12 before the team heads to Spain in late August.  It's hard to argue that any Celtics are deserving, but I'll try (briefly).

You could make the case that Rajon Rondo would be more valuable than the injured Derrick Rose, especially considering all of the team's point guards are of the score first variety.

And if you really want to stretch, Jeff Green is probably a better overall player than Kyle Korver. Although if Korver has a roll it'll just be to stand behind the arc and shoot wide open threes...
