Celtics will once again participate in Orlando Pro Summer League

In a departure from past years, the annual Orlando Pro Summer League will last seven days, and no team will play for more than three days in a row before it receives a rest day.

The summer league, which is hosted by the Orlando Magic, will run from July 5-11.

The event will remain closed to the public because of space limitations on Amway Center’s practice court.

In addition to the Magic, the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers will participate.

The games will be televised on NBATV.  Last year Kelly Olynyk finished third in the league in both scoring and rebounding after averaging 18 points and 8 boards per contest.
