Former Celtics forward Ricky Davis invited to Knicks camp. For real

Ahhhhhhhhhh..this picture..my eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is not a drill folks..I repeat this is not a drill.

After three years out of the league, former Celtics swingman Ricky Davis is back in the NBA. Kind of.

Davis has reportedly accepted an invitation to attend camp with the Knicks.

This must happen. Davis must join forces with J.R. Smith and Metta World Peace to form the triumvirate of pure unabashed insanity. Him and Metta will make a rap album. Him and J.R. will take pictures of girls with giant butts (link NSFW unless your work allows you to look at asses) and put them on twitter (is Ricky on twitter? He should be).

In all honesty the moment that J.R. and Ricky meet may tear a hole in the space time continuum. I still haven't ruled out that they're actually the same person.

And if Ricky making a return wasn't weird enough, a way more obscure former Celtic is also getting another shot.

**Drum roll please**

Ladies and gentlemen..Patrick O'Bryant!

For those of you keeping score at home, the last time Patrick O'Bryant played in the NBA was April 10, 2010. Important to remember that O'Bryant, who spent part of the 2008-09 season with the Celtics, was the 9th overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft. Solid chance he's the worst top ten pick in the past decade all things considered.

Amazingly enough, O'Bryant is only 27. Way more amazingly, Davis is somehow only 33. This despite the fact that he spent 12 years in the NBA and has been out of basketball for three full years.

Unreal that both of these guys are back in the headlines.

P.S. You can sponsor O'Bryant's basketball reference page for a mere $15. Someone should do that. Could own a piece of (terrible) basketball history.

P.P.S. Remember when the Celtics won Game 1 vs the Pacers in 2005 and Ricky said it was "time to get the broom out"? They lost in 7. Such an idiot.
