Video: Recapping the Celtics' pre-All-Star game run without Rajon Rondo

As the trade deadline looms, the Celtics' future is uncertain. In the wake of Rajon Rondo's ACL tear and the announcement that he would be done for the season, many presumed that the Celtics were done for the season. Many said the team should blow it up and start to rebuild.

Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers was not among those doubters. Rivers said to the media in a press conference after the Miami Heat game on January 27th (where Rondo's injury was announced), "Well, you can write the obituary. I'm not... We won tonight, and so the way I look at it is: we're going to stay in there. In my opinion, we're going nowhere."

And for the most part, the Celtics have proved the skeptics wrong. Since Rondo's injury, the Celtics have been on an unbelievable tear, winning 8 games out of 9, beating the Heat,  Kings, Magic, Clippers, Raptors, Lakers, Nuggets, and Bulls. Their sole loss was to the Charlotte Bobcats on the 2nd night of a back-to back. Paul Pierce has taken over the duties of racking up triple doubles in Rondo's absence, earning two (against Miami and Denver). Keep in mind that Rondo's injury wasn't the only misfortune the Celtics faced during their run -- they also lost Jared Sullinger and Leandro Barbosa for the remainder of the season due to back and knee injuries, respectively.

While the Celtics' have been playing well, it hasn't stopped trade rumors from circulating and it's unclear whether General Manager Danny Ainge will make a move, whether major or minor, before the trade deadline.

But as the 2013 All-Star break nears its end, one thing is certain: we can sit back and enjoy the Celtics' 7 game win-streak leading up to the All-Star game, and being winners of 8 out of 9 games. Enjoy the above video, which is a collection of highlights from the Celtics' run without Rajon Rondo. Only time will tell if the players featured in the video will be on the Celtics' roster for the remainder of the 2012-2013 season.
