Bad news on Jared Sullinger

Remember when Jared Sullinger slid in the draft because of back problems?

Jared Sullinger left last night's game early in the first quarter. He entered the locker room and never returned. The Celtics won anyway but obviously the team can't afford many more injuries to their key players after losing Rajon Rondo for the season.

The report came out that it was back spasms, his status is day to day and this has been going on for a couple of weeks.

Boston Herald:
"I know Eddie (Lacerte, the trainer) said something a week or two ago that it’s been bothering him, and I think this will be what will happen,” the C’s coach said of the problem. “He’ll have these episodes and we’ve got to get him through it. Hopefully he doesn’t miss games with them, but if he does he does. And then get it right and come back. But I’m not sure if it was before the game or not.”

It's the midway point of the season and this back issue hasn't creeped up until now. So there's that.

On the other hand, as Donny Marshall pointed out in post-game last night, the C's have already played the amount of games that Sullinger did in college. If any issues were to crop up, this might be the time.

"Day to Day" tell us basically nothing, except that he'll probably miss at least one more game. Hope those bulging dicks aren't creeping up again.
