Ray Allen's green envy

Ray “Jesus Shuttleworth” Allen has a jones that just won’t go away.  His green obsession has him waxing poetic about 2009, eight days before the 2012-13 season starts. No one on the Celtics have even mentioned Mr. Shuttlesworth since media day.
According to the Miami Herald

Allen said that, at the time, Ainge and Rivers “didn’t get along” with Rondo.

“So, I called him and I told him, ‘hey they’re supposedly trading us to Phoenix because you and Danny and Doc don’t get along,’ ” Allen said. “ ‘So, whatever you can do.’

“So, for some reason, I guess he thought that I was … that I had something against him, or there were some issues. And I had no issues with him. I won with him.”

Now, Allen says if Rondo “had issue with me, that’s on him.”

“I have a way of going about doing my job that, I want everyone to come and play their hardest and come in and do their job and I can’t, I don’t worry myself with things I can’t control,” Allen said. Rondo is now more beloved than ever in Boston and Allen is playing for the Celtics’ most bitter rival.

It seems like Ray Allen is trying to absolve himself from any wrongdoing and is knee-deep in his whine down there in South Beach. Meanwhile in Beantown, you can hear the resounding chirp of nothingness from the Celtics’ players. In fact, you have yet to hear a peep about Ray from anyone in the Celtic’s organization.

We here in Green-town hope Ray recovers nicely from the greenitis that consumes him. Because the “real-men” in Green have moved on and their focus has been on banner 18 since you walked out the door.

Where is yours?
