According to WEEI's Sean Grande, the Celtics starting center Jermaine O'Neal will not be playing tonight in the second game of the Celtics-Wizards double header. O'Neal left last night's game against the Wizards with a hamstring issue, so Doc Rivers will rest JO and start Greg Stiemsma in his place.
Back-up center Chris Wilcox will return to the Celtics bench after being out a few days with a shoulder injury.

I wouldn't mind if Celtics just sat out JO for every 2nd night of back to backs. He's probably be out there if it was against a better team or if Wilcox wasn't coming back.
KG-Bass-J-Cubed
Stiemsma-Wilcox
that should be fine against the Wizards.
its a rule that jo must rest after every 40 points he scores
We need demarcus cousin....
^^^ no we don't. he's a good player, but his attitude is bullshit and he wouldn't fit in whatsoever on the celtics. i figured JO would be rested on back to backs anyway, especially against weaker teams.
JO has suffered from a mild hamstring injury last night. It was OK for him to return, yet the doctors decided to rest him just because. It's nothing serious.
Agree shelbyl. Smart teams will rest their vets periodically during this compressed season. I expect KG to get some games of on the back ends of back to backs as well.
LOL Jimmy
