Rondo's 22 assists lead Celtics over Spurs

In my opinion this was the biggest win of the season for the Celtics. In a battle of the NBA's best Rajon Rondo had his best performance since coming back from injury recording a triple double with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 steals, and 22 assists. Just an amazing human being.  Ray Allen was brillant as well despite the two missed free throws at the end, scoring 31 points on 13-16 from the field. Big Baby Davis continued his quest for 6th man of the year with 23 points including some huge shots in the 4th quarter. The guy is just a flat out scoring machine.  Off the bench I thought Nate and Marquis played well. Even Jermaine O'Neal put some good minutes in.

The Spurs looked pretty good. They seem to have a knack for finding random solid role players(where did Gary Neal come from)? Duncan scored 18 points but wasn't a real factor in the game. Ginobli was shut down all game until the end when he caught on fire. He got torched by Ray all day on the defensive end.  That guy scares me though and is not someone I want with the ball in his hands at the end of games. Matt Bonner played pretty well and is officially the best red head in the NBA right now(sorry Scal).

The end of the game was kind of ridiculous. The fact that there was no foul called on the steal against Rondo was borderline criminal.  Still, Ray needs to make at least 1 of those free throws. He was incredible the rest of the game and has been clutch throughout his Celtics career so I'll give him a pass. Great play by Pierce at the end to seal it. He has been so clutch this year.

Overall a great win for the Celtics. They seem to always step up and play their best against the best teams and that is really all that matters at the end of the day. This team is going to be scary good with Perk, Delonte, and KG back. Looking forward to another win on Friday.
