The Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls have shown “serious interest” in free-agent forward Josh Howard, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

While the Bulls could have the salary-cap space to sign Howard, depending on what happens with their offer sheet to J.J. Redick, the Celtics would need a sign-and-trade to arrange a deal because they have already used their midlevel exception on Jermaine O’Neal.

Howard has yet to receive a contract offer. The Washington Wizards also have some interest in re-signing Howard.

Boston Globe
There are a handful of desired free agents, but salary will be an issue. Boston has reached out to former Toronto guard Antoine Wright, and former Minnesota swingman Damien Wilkins also could be a consideration.
I suppose we could do worse than Josh Howard, but his game seems to have regressed the past few years. If he could be had for short money a sign and trade of 'Sheed might work. Antoine Wright does nothing for me, but I do like that he appears to be pissing off LeDiva in the above picture. I still say go for Rudy.
