"Free-agent center Jermaine O'Neal said Wednesday that he expects to sign with one of the three following teams in coming days: Dallas, Denver or Boston. The Celtics are chasing anything over 6 feet that moves. O'Neal turned in a terrible performance against Boston in the playoffs - averaging 4.2 ppg and 5.6 rebounds, while shooting 20%. However, his numbers were significantly better in the regular season where he averaged 13.6 ppg and 6.9 rebounds.
'Those are my favorites,' O'Neal told ESPN.com 'Those are teams that are going to compete [for a championship] next year.'"

Long gone are the days of O'Neal as a star and he's not even a quality starter anymore, but as a place holder until Perk returns I guess he could be ok. I definitely prefer him over Shaq. Now the question is how much money does he want? If its anything close to the MLE for several years you have to pass.
I'm amazed Mike you were able to write one of these articles WITHOUT mentioning the word corpse lol. O'Neal EPITOMIZED corpse last year, especially that outstanding playoff series.
Haha ya. Seems all that's left for Boston is to rummage through the graveyard.
Heat beat writer saying that Jermaine to Boston is "almost a done deal"
