Celtics to pursue Brad Miller; Doc to return?

The Boston Celtics have targeted center Brad Miller to sign in free agency, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Miller and guard Ray Allen are expected to be the Celtics’ two top priorities in free agency following the retirement of Rasheed Wallace and a knee injury to Kendrick Perkins.

Despite durability issues during his career, Miller played 82 games for the Chicago Bulls last season and could give the Celtics a rugged presence with an inside-outside offensive game.
I know some fans will be happy to hear this news about Miller. Personally, I think the last thing we need is another old immobile player. Not to mention Brad "Slimy" Miller is a punk (credit to Tommy for the nickname). I am happy to hear the following news though on Doc. Without him, I'd say blow up the team, but with him and an investment in a couple more weapons (Mike Miller and Micheal Beasley) I think we can make one more run. What it will come down to is how far Wyc will be willing to go over the luxury tax to bring in the talent to offset the age decline of the Big 3 (and Perk's questionable status).
The Celtics are still confident coach Doc Rivers will return for the final year of his contract, and he plans to make a decision this week on whether he will be back or join his family in Orlando.

Rivers has acted like a coach who plans to return. He participated in the Celtics’ draft preparation, and he had been working with general manager Danny Ainge to prepare for the start of free agency on Thursday. He has also had conversations with prospective candidates to replace Tom Thibodeau on his coaching staff, but that hire is on hold.
