During an interview with the Dale & Holley Show on WEEI this afternoon, Celtics guard Eddie House said that teammate Paul Pierce has been invited to the 3-point shooting contest during the NBA's All-Star Weekend. House said that he himself has not received an invitation for the contest, and that the league chose Pierce instead.Congrats to Paul. Sucks for Eddie though. Truth is the NBA is all about stars, so I could totally see this coming. There's always the possibility that Pierce can't go do to his foot (bad sign) and that House become his replacement.
"Paul is actually going to be the one representing the Celtics in the 3-Point Contest," said House. "Hope all is well with that and he gets a win."

Way to go, Truth.
"NBA is all about stars."
Yeah except for Jason Kapono. And Craig Hodges. And Steve Kerr. LOL
Doesn't anyone remember Paul's last go round in this where he kept pulling his shorts up because they were falling off? Or was that Antoine lol...
Paul will do better this time. Finally a Celtic in the 3pt contest...This year I will watch the Saturday events then!
Lol TB. Point taken. I was just saying that if one spot is between Pierce and House, Paul gets the advantage. And yes that was Pierce and he's stated he was embarrassed by that prior performance. He might actually have a shot this year as the contest lends itself more to set shooters than jump shooters... (waits for TB's "except for Kapono, Kerr, and Hodges, response) lol
I think if Eddie House participated he'd set the record for finishing quickest. I'd expect him to get his final shot off with about 20 seconds left in the round. He just doesn't know how to shoot regularly.
Eddie would also set the record for points taken away for being on the line...
That's definitely true too! Eddie House starring in "On the Line" a Celticslife Production...
NBA will learn to respect The Truth

"Chauncey doesn't really want to be in it," Dudley said. "The NBA has certain people they force to do it. He's probably one of them. Paul Pierce wants to be in it, so he's got something to prove.
To paraphrase Three Toe, it's awesome being right so often. NBA loves its stars. Eddie should be in this contest. And trust me Mr. Stern, he'd be entertaining.
I also think that the dunk contest should go back to being 8 people.
