Utah Jazz acquire Jaren Jackson Jr in trade with Memphis Grizzlies
Always wanted Jaren Jackson Jr on the Celtics, but the team's former front office leaders Danny and Austin Ainge snag him for their Jazz organization. At some point Utah needed to go all-in with some of that draft capital. Thought it might be to trade up in the draft to scoop a can't miss prospect and have him on a team friendly contract for several years, but instead they make more of a win now move.BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN. pic.twitter.com/ax6oQpZx0S

Jackson Jr. is still only 26 so this is a great get for Utah. The Grilies have now traded Desmond Bane and Jackson Jr. for a treasure's chest of first rounders. Expect Ja Morant to also be moved as the team rebuilds yet again.
Grizzlies have a year to use this. They could decide to not go full rebuild & pair it with FRP's to trade for a different star. More likely they could use it to take on a bad contract bundled with more FRP capital. https://t.co/hHQtb3D9Mj

The Ainge's were able to hold onto their most valuable first round pick, that being this year's one. All three first round picks could very well end up out of the lottery. Quite the deal for Utah. The Utah Jazz are trading their most favorable 2027 first-round pick (Cleveland/Minnesota/Utah), the Lakers' 2027 first-round pick, and Phoenix's 2031 first-round pick to Memphis, source says, to pry Jaren Jackson Jr. from the Grizzlies.
