Boston Celtics sign Ron Harper Jr. to two-way contract, waive RJ Luis
Ron Harper Jr. has earned a coveted two-way contract with the the Boston Celtics. To open up the spot the Celtics waived RJ Luis who was acquired in a trade with the Jazz where Boston traded two 2nd round picks to Utah for them to absorb the contract of Georges Niang.
The undrafted 25 year old Harper Jr. averaged 15.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last year in the G-League. Harper has put up averages of 4.3 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 1 assist for the Celtics this preseason. Harper is expected to begin the season in Maine.
